More Good News for all of us going into a weekend, we are permitted to burst our bubble to allow gatherings of up to ten (10) without physical distancing – but strongly encouraged to maintain consistent members.

As well, gatherings of up to 50 – with social distancing– is now allowed for social events like faith gatherings, sports and activities, weddings and funerals, arts events, festivals and concerts, but people must observe the two-metre distancing requirement.

These permissions support our COVID-19 Prevention and Control Policy 687A-10, particularly our accountability to our residents and co-workers for preventing the spread of COVID-19 to Glen Haven Manor.

The only additional prerequisites for all of us, as employees of GHM for bursting our bubbles so we can come in closer contact with the people we love and get that long-awaited hug from a grandchild, a parent, a sibling or a friend is to keep in mind our duty to protect those we care for – our residents, the most vulnerable.

So when selecting your consistent ten (10) members, do so with the confidence that they too are practicisng all of the community precautions recommended by Public Health in addition to considering their occupation (e.g.: increased exposure to the public) and reliability (e.g.: adhering to recommended Public Health measures).

When attending gatherings of up to fifty (50), along with social distanicng, you are required to wear a mask.  If you need a mask, we have a large supply of non-disposable ones and can make them available to you anytime.

When thinking about venturing out into a scenario you may be unsure of, leaving you with more questions than answers, just contact your Manager or Senior Leader to review.

Remember use good judgement when approaching any situation that appears too crowded or non-compliant with Public Health directives.

In the words of Granny Rona, wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands.

THANKS for All you do to keep us all SAFE!
